Sugarplum Fairy Tea

Hello my dear blogging friends ~

I must apologize that I haven't kept up my Christmas Pudding blog very well this season. There is so much going on. I'm sure you all know what I mean. Christmas is such a busy time.

I did host a Sugarplum Fairy Tea this week at my other blog, Rose Chintz Cottage. If you would like to see more of it please click here.

I shared my new found green tranferware trio which I love.

I also shared a variety of sweets including my fruit cake.

I will be sharing the recipe for my fruit cake tomorrow at my HOME for the Holidays party at my blog Rose Chintz Cottage.

I will try to post again before Christmas and until then have a joyous week and ....

Merry Christmas!

Slowly Getting Ready for Christmas

Hello everyone! It's December 1 and Christmas is on its way.

I have been slowly getting some decorating done. Last week was a blur because I was busy getting my mother settled into her new home and the decorating had to take a back seat for a few days.

But I finally have the mantel done.

I have decorated it with cream and gold this year instead of my usual pink.

I love the ribbon!

Cream magnolias and sheer ribbon .......

And I have started the tree. The angel awaits the rest of the touches below her.

Last week I began the first of my Christmas baking with Cranberry Squares. You can find the recipe here.

What have you been doing to get ready for the holidays?

Till next time, I'm keeping .....

Pretty Sparkly things....

Hello Christmas bloggy buddies!
Do you love pretty, sparkly things? I think you must and that's one of the many reasons why we love the Christmas season so much. Which is also most likely the reason why I am attracted to mercury glass and pumpkins this time of year.

It kind of takes care of the crave for sparkle between now and when I start to decorate for the holidays. Which won't be long now!

I have been attracted to sparkly, glittery, pretty ornaments since I was a little girl. And every year, I try to find one new ornie for my Christmas tree. Do you do that?

We are thinking about Thanksgiving this weekend here in Canada. I will make my famous pumpkin pie as well as all the usual yummy things. I say 'famous' because my children think I make the best pumpkin pie in the world. I love my kids!

So, to all of my Canadian bloggy friends, A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Till next time, I'm....

Three Months From Today.....

Hello all my Christmas buddies....Can you believe it? Three months from today is Christmas Day!

Are you thinking about it? Perhaps you have your list already made out. I am thinking about it but that's about as far as I've gotten.

I do know my Christmas decor in the living room will be a little different this year because my colour scheme is slowly transitioning into another. Change is good!

It will be interesting to see what I come up with this year. How about yourself? Are you using the same theme this year or do you have another planned for the holidays?

Hopefully as we near the Christmas season, I will have more and more to share with you. It's been a busy year and it kind of just flew by on me. Till next time, I'm....
